Find, fix, and prove web accessibility.
Loupe is a free browser extension that scans any page for accessibility issues in context, explains the fix in plain English, and exports a branded report your clients will actually understand.
Loupe's extension needs desktop Chrome. The web scanner works right here on your phone.
Free for solo use · no signup · runs in your browser — your site is never submitted anywhere
From scan to client-ready in three steps.
No setup, no account, no code. Just open a page and click.
Scan any page
Click the Loupe icon on any website. It runs axe-core locally on the current tab and surfaces every WCAG 2.1 & 2.2 issue — instantly, with nothing leaving your browser.
See issues in context
Every issue highlights the exact element on the page — with the failing rule, the WCAG reference, and a plain-English explanation. Click one to jump straight to it.
Hand over a branded report
Turn any scan into a clean, white-label PDF with your agency's logo — the deliverable clients pay for, not a wall of developer jargon.
Everything you need to ship accessible sites.
Live in-page overlay
Issues appear right on the page, grouped by severity. Click any one to highlight the exact element.
Plain-English + AI fixes
Every issue explained for humans, with an optional AI-drafted code fix you review before shipping.
White-label PDF reports
On the Agency plan, add your own logo and brand. Clients see your agency's name on the deliverable, not ours.
Full-site crawl
Scan up to eight pages in one run and get a single combined report across the whole site.
WCAG 2.1 & 2.2 AA
Built on axe-core — the same open engine trusted across the accessibility industry.
Private by default
Scans run entirely in your browser — you never type your URL into anyone's website. Nothing is uploaded, and no list of what you scanned exists on any server.
Built to be checked.
An accessibility tool should survive its own audit. Loupe's site and reports pass the same scan we run on yours.
And what it can't do
Automated testing catches somewhere around a third of WCAG problems. That is a well-known ceiling for every scanner, ours included, and any tool that implies otherwise is selling you something.
What Loupe catches
The machine-checkable criteria: colour contrast, missing alt text, unlabelled form fields, broken ARIA, heading and landmark structure, link and button names, keyboard focus order.
What still needs a person
Whether alt text actually describes the image. Whether the reading order makes sense. Whether a caption matches the video. Whether an error message is understandable. Whether your site works for someone who navigates by keyboard alone.
So Loupe will not make you compliant, and we will not tell you it has. It clears the mechanical failures fast, in context, and shows you where a human still has to look. Use it alongside the WCAG 2.2 checklist for the rest.
Free accessibility tools, right in your browser.
Quick checks you can run now, no install. They're free, and a taste of what the full Loupe extension does across your whole site.
Color contrast checker
Check any text and background color for WCAG AA & AAA, with a one-tap fix to the nearest passing shade.
Open toolQuick page scan
Paste any URL for an instant accessibility check of the page. No install, results in seconds.
Open toolAccessibility badge
Scan your site and, if there are no blocking issues, get a badge for your footer that links to a live re-check.

How billing works
There are no accounts to make, so here is exactly what happens when you pay.
- You check out with Polar. They are our merchant of record, so they handle the card, the receipt and the sales tax. We never see your card details.
- Your license key arrives by email. That key is the whole product. There is no username, no password and nothing to log in to.
- You paste it once per browser. Paste it here or in the report and that browser unlocks. Your unlock lives in that browser rather than in an account, so if you also work on a laptop, paste it there too.
- Cancelling is a link in your receipt. Cancel whenever you want and you are not charged again. Lost the key? Email billing@lucency.dev and we will resend it.
Scanning stays on your machine whether you pay or not. Paying unlocks features in the app, it does not change where your pages are analysed. Read the privacy policy.
Your brand on every report.
Loupe Agency turns a scan into a client deliverable: your logo on it, a cover page and plain-English summary up front, and proof of what your fixes changed.
- Everything in Pro — crawl, PDF, saved projects, AI fixes
- Your branding, plus a cover page & executive summary
- Before / after proof that the remediation worked
Pricing sits with the other plans, just above.
Accessibility is the law now.
The European Accessibility Act is in force across the EU. In the US, lawsuits under the Americans with Disabilities Act climb every year. Better you find the problems than a lawyer does.
